anyone have any experiences with either? Just curious, currently have a stock fuel pump. I know the edelbrock max psi is 6 and 110gph where as the carter street super ranges from 6-8 and will need a regulator and only has 10 more gph

I run the carter with 6.5psi deadhead reg, 3/8 fuel line and like it.

I've got a 30 anything year old Carter street/strip pump on my dart that's never been off the car since installed over 30 years ago. No regulator and 3/8 Fuel line. Had to snug up the screws about 10 yrs ago when they were seeping fuel. Never had a problem with it and the car has a ton of street miles, plus several hi 11 second passes. Sad thing is, I doubt any newer pump is built like the old ones nor will it last as long

Hmmmm thanks for the info guys, im just running 5/16 line for my 340, engine builder told me after about 8 seconds at wot on the dyno she started to lean out a tad more than he would like to see but then again i dont race it or power shift it so the rpms are always changing even when i get on it, so practically ti may not be a big issue, just was thinking it couldn't hurt, i have no idea what flow rate or psi my fuel pump is at but i know its just a stock replacement

Yeah, on the street, 6 seconds and 2 or maybe 3 gears, will get you deep into speeding territory. 8 seconds can get you into the mid to high 90s.
I've been running the P4007040 and a 3/8 line all the way to and including the sock, since 99, with no issues. Even on 87E10. No regulator, no return. 750DP
