How exactly would I install an electric fan, I've helped put one in but I didn't do a whole lot.

Mounting it depends on your car and the type of fan you buy.
Wiring is easy, you need a universal 25-30 amp 4 prong relay which you can get from any parts store. Run a 10-12 gauge wire from your battery through a 30 amp fuse to the correct prong on the relay, 10-12 gauge wire from the relay to the fans power lead, one prong gets grounded and the other is your switch wire which can be a 18-16 gauge. You can connect the switch wire to a manual switch on the dash or a tenp controlled switch on the engine.

A good place to get relays (and the sockets) is your local junkyard. They're full of them. Fans, too.
I'd much rather throw a few dollars their way and help them stay in business.
When the FLAPS only have stuff that's imported, I always think of them.
Depends on what part you need, of course...
