Electronic ignation wiring

Ok, so I am studying up before the big project tomorrow. The wiring harness I pulled off of a 74 dodge van of some short has a 5 pin ecu plug. I know that the brown and white wire goes to the dist. and the yellow and black to the neg side of the coil but I am stumped on the other 2 there is a red and green wire left, I believe the red goes to the ballast resistor and the green is disregarded. Am I correct?

it is best to go with the 4 wire system, and eliminate the 4 prong ballast resister in favor of the 2 prong resistor.

I gave in and bought a new 4 pin ecu, I will grab a dual resistor from the junk yard and use the 5 pin as a back up system so in case the 4pin ever goes out.
