Electronics?

I've got a voltage regulator that puts out 1A @ 5V. There's a bunch of devices that require quite a bit less than that (7 mA, for example). Does the regulator push the whole 1A to the device, or does the device only pull what it needs?

I'm an Automotive electrical tech, but from what you just said I would think your device puts out 5volts at a rated capacity of 1amp of current.

Your devices should only pull what they need.
