Elgin industries

Does anyone have any experience with Elgin Industries? They are in Elgin Il. and make various engine & chassis products. I was looking at purchasing some valve springs retainers and locks, but wasn't sure of the quality, and was looking for some advice.

My understanding is that it is a LESSER PRICED LINE OF PARTS! Does that sound better than Cheaper! Although I hear the parts are good for daily drivers but not in the High Performance area!

IIRC Elgin is owned by NAPA, or somehow related. I've used soem stuff of thiers in the past, I'd put it on par with the Sealed Power stock replacement parts. I wouldnt use them for any performance items tho..Just my opinion there...

They use to source out their parts. I've got a double roller TC on the shelf that was made in Canada and it looks every bit as good as a Speed Pro or others,.
