So, I have a bunch of various different Dart, GTS, etc. emblems laying around my garage. They aren't in bad condition, but not great condition either. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to 'restore' them?

For instance, pictured is the emblem off a glove box door out of a 67/68 Dart 270 that I am fixing up. There are some scuffs in the paint etc. Do you guys know of a good way to clean up the emblem so it looks good on the redone door?

Thanks guys!!

maby try a soft air buff wheel with some cleaner on it just my thoughts

Toothpaste wirks great to polish them, use just like old-school paste wax. It's also good for plastic and makes everything smell "minty" LOL. If you want to repaint, try covering the chrome with a light coat of chapstick and fogging it with ...um... that paint that's made for window trim, can't think of the name, but it is a nice satin black that will hold up a little better than flat black spray from Wal*Mart. Anyway, after it dries, just buff it with a rag and the chapstick will release the paint from the chrome. Try it on one that is not irreplaceable first so you know how much chapstick to use.
