Engine Bay Has Paint !!!

Well the stars aligned today and Dave66Valiant and I finally found a day to paint the engine bay of my 65 Dart. We epoxied the car about 3 months ago,and finally got the chance to paint it. Looks like it came out sweet !!!

Dave has turned into my partner in crime on these Mopars,even though he lives over 50 miles away.

Really apreciate it Dave,thanks again !!! 8)

Should have this car,with a fresh slant build back together for the Summer. 8)

Nothing like a freshly painted Orange Mopar.

Is that Omaha orange?

Motor looks really nice too, should be an instant show stopper.

That six looks sweet ..... getting started on a sixr engine build just like that one....gonna be red though.
 
Was great to finally get some squirt into that engine bay. In a couple weeks I'll cruise by and do any buffing that may be needed. We got so lucky with the weather today. 80 degrees and no wind in the middle of December!!!!!!

That /6 is going to look awesome in it's fresh home.

Thank you for sharing this build and your advice here with us, and I bet Dave is a good teacher, I remember that mixing paint and adjusting air pressure and keeping an even level tip at a 6 to 10 inches away from my flat paint area's made me a better painter back in the day. DANG I miss doing things like that.

Forgot this pic of how we did it. Lets just call this the "Redneck Special".

There was a helicopter circling us,thought I was going to jail. :sad1:

Nice work.

I have to get on my dart and paint the compartment.
 
Love that color on the Dart, and the /6 looks great as well. Props for putting the /6 back in.
