So the "green pearl clear"......is that like a modern version of the transparent colors we used to shoot to get candy effects?

yes it will be a tri-coat job. Base will be solid color. If you add pearl to base it will tint it and pearl effect will be lost. Mix pearl into clear and top coat the base. Then final clear. It should give a deep look to it.
