Engine Quest Replacement?

Those are the exact same ones I bought from Clearwater but with the LA intake bolt pattern. I bolted them on out of the box. No issues so far.
 
What year is your Magnum? Earlier models have provisions for LA heads which gives you more options. My last build was a ‘94 and I was surprised to find that it had LA oiling passages in the block.

I am not sure what year it is. Is there a casting mark that makes it easy to tell? I am not sure I want to go to LA heads, I just want a good head that works well and doesn't require an expensive rocker set up.

Do you feel they make good power like EQ heads did? Have you ran the car they are in to see what it runs?

Mine are the EQ heads which is what I thought was advertised in your link. They do make good power. Like I mentioned in your other thread, I did a 7.80 in the 1/8 NA with them. Not too shabby.

That part number should be a factory cast iron Magnum. Basically the stock replacement head for most Magnum trucks and some Magnum-based Mopar performance crate motors. So they would be fine to use if you are ok with cost. At least Mopar finally allowed a sale price.
You should find out how much your machinist would charge to build out those heads.

The same money gets you aluminum heads.

idk my self but ant herd nothing good bout odessa cylinder heads witch is what these are if you read the fine print at bottom of add....
