Engine Rebuild pricing?

What is the going rate for a BASIC engine rebuild of a 225 Slant 6? I am getting
estimates and want to make sure I am in the ballpark. Need to have the engine removed rebuilt and installed when completed.

i pulled mine and in stalled myself and used some nice components (comp cam, forged pistons,clevite bearings, 5 angle valve jobs) and mine was right at 800
