I have my 273 running. In the process of getting it ready I put on a reman. stock 2bbl carb. and reman. single point dist. She now starts and runs fine down the road. The problem I'm having is it stalls/dies when I mash the gas pedal. Where should I look? Thanks.

With the engine off and the air cleaner off, look down the carb and make sure the accellerator pump is squirting fuel when you move the throttle by hand. Also, check your initial timing, around 10 before should be a good place to start.
