Thanks
Nick

On the intake (passinger side) front, right beside the large inlet hose from rad.

Thanks very much. Super efficiant, fast reply!! :drinkers:

So, you now have a temp aftermarket guage to read? I take it you were just wondering for sure? Is there anything we can help ya with??

Yeah theres an aftermarket temp, vacuum, oil pressure and voltage gauges under the dash. The temp gauge doesnt work there either, i think the PO had put another temp sender in the top radiator hose. So it shouldnt give a reading until the thermostat opens right??

I want to try and link up the original water temp sender to the aftermarket gauge to see if it will work.
After reading previous posts it appears the voltage regulator may have gone behind the dash as the original Fuel gauge and Temp Gauge dont work at all!!!

Are the voltage regulators still available??
Also are the stock gauges still available??

I appreciate your help greatly.

Yah, it sounds like your "voltage Limiter" is toast. I don't think you are able to pick up these parts NEW (limiter or orginal gauges). I had stated in another thread (pehaps you read) that sometimes the paper insulator between the limiter and cluster short out or becomes loose. If you can..try to reach up under the dash and finger play with the unit (move it around) or try and feel if the paper insulator shim is still in place. Because the fuel and temp use the limiter reducing 12v to 5, you may what to ensure first that the limiter is at least getting the 12V. If I'm correct also, I think your EM Brake light light uses the same circuit, so if it lights, you have your 12V supply.

The EM brake light does not light!

Ill get behind there tmw and have a look.

Many thanks for you help.

If that's the case, I would check the main electrcal connecter. Due to the age, sometimes these pins get out of alignment and don't contact well. Again with Ign on, reach up under the dash and push/wiggle the main connecter while watching your EM light :thumblef:

It turns out the pns are broken on one of the circuit boards and the other board is nearly dead!!

Ive emailed a few people on ebay selling an entire Gauge Cluster and just one of them will ship to the uk.

Thanks again for your help
Nick
