my 73 duster has 318,autopmatic.Motor is pretty much stock except it has been upgraded to 4 brl edelbrock manifold and carb and duel exhaust.should i change the timing from what the stock setting is??

For some reason, 318's like 7 degrees BTDC. At least that's what I set all mine on. Hope this helps.

you could say limit the total in the distributor to say 20-24 degrees, and make the springs a little stiffer so it comes just a tad later than stock but yet is all in by 2500 I would go with 10-12 base timing if you can get away with it.

But 7 is a good start too.
