Yup it’s an engine but who is the manufacturer?
NoInternational?
No I spotted it at a local pik n pull on the sale lot.The offset plugs give it away. I think Packard was the only company that did that, that I know of. Cool car, Frank. Is it yours?
That's purdy cool. You don't see those often. No I spotted it at a local pik n pull on the sale lot.
I thought it having a 4 bbl was especially cool. That's purdy cool. You don't see those often.
I'm alMOST 100% certain that was added. But who really knows?I thought it having a 4 bbl was especially cool.
I’m sure it is, electric choke on a Round top Packard, I don’t think so.I'm alMOST 100% certain that was added. But who really knows?
Already solved by the time I saw this thread, but I was gonna say
Packard. The only company that I know of that used a four barrel carb on a straight eight.
Saw this Packard eight in an Intenational pickup at a local show
Homemade manifold and drive for the 4-71, headers look like two right halves of a small chevy set, with a homemade flange.

The lady across the street, many many years ago had a 56 Buick. Same deal. Turn the key, floor the gas pedal to get it to crank.had a 54 roadmaster 1st year of the nailhead
to start it it had a switch on the carb with(i guess) a diode in wiring so you would just hit the gas peddle to get it to crank once it started it stopped cranking
Exactly. Lots of dual four barrel GM apps in the late fifties.WCFBs were used on several different makes .
GM used them on a lot of applications .
