Police in Symmes Township are looking for two girls, ages 12 and 14, who allegedly robbed a bank there this afternoon.

The First National Bank in the 9000 block of Fields Ertel was held up just after 3:15 p.m. The tellers say the two African-American girls walked in and demanded money. They did not have a weapon.

The tellers gave the girls "bait money". Bait bills are bills whose serial number is recorded by the bank either by making a copy or by listing in a log book. During a bank robbery if robber has taken the bait money, details of this can be passed on to the police. If the money is found in the possession of someone or used to purchase goods then it is often easier to find the perpetrator of the bank robbery.

The first suspect is described as a girl, 14 to 16 years in age, 5'4 to 5'5, heavy build, wearing a black knit cap, blue jeans, and a dark blue hoodie. The second suspect is a black female around 12 years old, standing five feet to 5'2", thin build, wearing a ball cap with a sticker, blue jeans, and a dark blue hoodie.

A man is in the hospital, recovering after an icy plunge into the Ohio River this afternoon.

Cincinnati Police say 26 year-old Lamarr McCall drove a car onto the barge at Anderson Ferry just before 1 p.m. but didn't stop and ended up driving off the opposite side into the river.

McCall made it out of his car, but the vehicle sank into the water. He was taken to Mercy hospital for treatment of possibly hypothermia.

McCall told police he was driving his friend's 1998 Honda Accord when the brakes failed.

The U.S. Coast Guard and Delhi Township Police are also on the scene helping with the investigation.

Anyone else think that when a 14-16 year old and a 12 year old commit a crime like this the parents should stand trial, too?
