What is the correct position for the exhaust tips on a 68 barracuda?

Even with the inside or outside of the bumper?
In from the bumper, out past the bumper?

Anyone picture of them installed correctly?

The factory tips have a hook that fit on the tip hanger. Should fit about 1/2" away from the hanger to down part of the tip hook.

Most people stick their tips out way to much.

Mine extend barely 1" past the valance opening. Not saying this is right (my tips had been modified when the car had 3" tail pipes and the original hanger tab is gone). I think mine could go up about 1/2".

Out to or past the bumper would be totally wrong.

Yea mine are sticking out way to far right now.(its the way the car came)
