    Right around the corner the drag ways will be opening up (at least for us Northerners). What are your expectations for improvements by 2021 year end??
    • I'm expecting 2 vehicles running into the 12's in street form. '76 Duster is a no brainer, and the '80 D150 (aka Drag Truck).

      I'll be getting started on the body of my 70 dart. 1st off, gut it & strip it.
      2nd body work
      3rd make fiberglass molds of 70-72 front fenders, hood & possibly front bumper. (Myself)
      4th back half, cage & stiffeners.
      Set up my Dana & ladder bars, front & rear suspension. (Will need help)
      wheels & tires
      Get my engine & trans finished.
      Run a 10.00 (2022)
      Edit; block is on the way to the machine shop next week

        Barring some unforeseen disaster, finish the D150 quickly and then get the Dart on the road before the weather goes to crap in OCT/NOV..

            Just finished rebuilding/installing a 904 for my son's 1987 D150. Need to install my 4 wheel line lock and 2 step on the Cuda....also want to shave a few hundredths off the ET and lay down a 10.0x this year (might have to put the car on a diet to get there)....that's about it.

              Finish tuning in my new 650 AVS2 and rear axle upgrade with 3.55,3.73, or 3.91 gears. My 7-1/4 ain't gonna stand much more of this, lol!

                            I still have to put the Dr Diff axles in and measure for backspacing for new rims. Race season is coming too fast

                              Wow that is a tough questions with two brand new combos and one car never making a pass in the five years I’ve owned it. Honestly if that combo ran a 5.0-5.15 I would probably be excited. Not completely satisfied but excited. Everything new from the ring gear to the remote water pump and never in my life using nitrous I have lots of learning to do.

                              In my black duster the 422 will be coming out and a brand new engine combo going in. My last stock block Edelbrock headed engine ran 9.74. This one will have better flowing Edelbrock heads, a lot more compression, bigger carb, and switching from a Super Victor intake to an Indy intake. I guess in April, May we should find out.

                                    Not really looking for any improvements, maybe a little pick up in my 60' with the new tires. I just hope they work, went from a 325 to a 275. The car is ready to start, the oil has been changed and the valves ran. I may look at the plugs, they've been it it for at least three years.

                                    We're having some pretty days but rain too, I'm getting the itch to get the car out for a cruise.

                                    My goal for the year is to get a 9 second time slip and not break anything.

                                      I wasted my winter working on the 1948 Chevy Sedan project. I needed to finish it up and sell it to buy another A Body. Well that's done now.
                                      Was planning changing the oil and getting my 68 Valiant ready for another season. Found 2 freeze plus leaking and I'm not really wanting to pull the engine. I know it sounds lazy but I want to redo the car.
                                      So I started looking at my 65 Barracuda. Made a list the other day and need to start moving on it. The group I race with has a 14.00 cut off. I really hope the little cuda can hang.

                                        My hope is some new rear shocks will bring my 1.6X sixty foot times down into the low 1.5's or better. I have old shocks off the shelf I threw on to get it going, I'm about to buy a pair of Vikings. I anticipate some tuning of shock valving and cal-tracks to get it done.

                                          I swapped my car from TTI 1 3/4" headers back to my Hooker 2" fenderwell headers. I had to modifying some tubs to clear the snout bars that tie into the shock mount. I'm hoping to pick up some with the swap, but it's definitely easier to work on now. I would be thrilled if I picked up a tenth, but that might be a stretch.

                                          My dad is putting his 408 back in the car, but with Trick Flow heads instead of the Edelbrock. Really hoping he picks up a solid 3 tenths, but time will tell.

                                            upgraded the brakes to Wilwood Dynalite discs front and rear so looking for a slight gain from the weight reduction over the OEM brakes that were on the car. Swapping from mechanical water pump to electric pump along with a bigger fan to help keep the little beast cool, swapping out the plastic seat for a Kirkey aluminum with new harness. Other than that just cosmetic improvements. Performance was good at the end of last season so hopefully will pick right back up.

                                                My Sons Duster is really under going some changes if and when he gets it ready. He is switching from a 727 to a powerglide (converter should be going out next week to set up like mine around 5775 rpm) new rear gear probably around 4.30 instead of 4.10’s. He’s rewiring the whole car with a very nice kit. Then plans are for him to borrow my .040 over stock crank 360 I have on my engine stand with a nice .650 lift roller cam, and my best set to date Edelbrock heads, and a new billet alcohol carb.
