External oiling system by Milodon

Does anyone know if you need to tap and plug the stock internal oil pickup passage when a Milodon external oiling system is installed? There is nothing obout it in the instruction sheet, but I saw it refered to in a Big Block shootout by Dick Landy.

Post the part number of the pump.Is it a external suction unit from the out side of the pan,meaning you are installing a braided line to the side of the pan.If so,you remove the pan and the pick up tube and install a allen key plug into the pickup tube hole.If its just a regular unit,it just bolts on inplace of the old unit,first post the part number and picture,mrmopartech

Milodon part number 21175. Yes it is a external pump with dual lines and the swinging pickup which feeds through the side of the oil pan.
