The Jean Machine,The Dude,Sizzler,Snapper.....never saw those before..always something new to learn about something old! LOL! "Second smallest 225ci. slant six"? I didn't know
there were larger and smaller 225's?!?!?!?

The 198 slant six was made from 1970 until 1974.
It was basically a destroked 225 with different rods that replaced the 170.
They weren't all that common, but they are around here and there still.
The 5th letter in the V.I.N. would be a ''B'' for 198 and a ''C'' for 225, and came only in a-bodies.
A lot of people that build slant sixes like to use the rods in their 225 build ups, so if you run across a set, don't throw them away!

The only one that I hadn't heard of was "The Jean Machine"! However, I've seen the Levi AMCs before. LOL!

I know all of that. It say's "second smallest 225", um, 225 is 225. And if it were a 198, why not say that? Poor journalistic skills
is what I am pointing out. They intended to convey the second smallest engine, the 225, but that's not what they said.

When I would go visit Bruce (7071DartGTReg) (RIP) he would share with me his VAST collection of Mopar brochures and literature. One that really stood out to me was a Satellite package called the Sidewinder. It was a package only available in the southwestern states and has the snake skin style roof with snake skin stripes and a really special looking interior package. It was a very cool car. To this day I have never seen another picture of one. He had several different things on them. Said when he lived out west, he actually found one in a junkyard but it was so far gone, it couldn't be saved.

I would like to find some more too! Unfortunately, when Bruce passed, A LOT of his things were dispersed to many different people and some was even thrown away. He had a huge collection of Chrysler literature, manuals and brochures. He was a walking encyclopedia himself.

I saw one of these in utiline configuration in a parking lot a few years back. I took some pics but can't seem to find them.
I'd never heard of it at the time.

Skipped a few early ones like the "Dartcharger" and the D-dart, and the Volare with the full spectrum interior!

Like the True Spirit- very low production numbers- mine is all original 360-auto-p/s-p/b-a/c only 60 K Mid 70s truck among my fav Mopars

Interesting article! I remember most of them from decades ago. They neglected to mention special sales packages, such as the White Hat Specials and Spring Specials of 1968 and 1969, which carried codes A14 and A15.
 
I stumbled on this searching google images, I never knew a Dodge Southbounder existed, also no mention of the Indy or SS/T Rams in the article.
