I am going to paint my 1969 Dart 340 the original turquoise. Does anybody know what items were painted at the same time as the assembled engine e.g. water temperature and oil pressure sending units, heater and bypass hose fittings, the nut and clamp that hold on accelerator cable. I know that the return spring and the throttle cable brackets that are bolted to the intake manifold are engine color.

Also what color are the manual steering box and the Z bar? They seem to be silver. I am thinking VHT Cast Aluminum paint.

Not sure about all the specifics but a lot of the suspension and auxiliary parts were left raw steel if there were any threads or adjustment req'd.
Think about how hard it would be to assemble some of these parts if threads or linkages were full of paint and on the factory line ease and speed of assembly were paramount.
...for raw parts many report good results using RPM.
