I have been watching this series of Youtube videos by Jennings Winged Cars about his Superbird and Daytona collection .
It is an amazing collection to say the least . He goes over all the details on the cars ... some of which are unrestored survivors.
In this video he points out a bunch of factory overspray ....much of which are on components I am sure were not installed during the paint process. I would think that any guy with this kind of collection would be very well versed in the production details of the cars.

Watch this video and tell me what you think .

I have not watched any of his videos, but the Wing Cars were not finished on the line.

Noses & other mods were put on at Creative, so for one thing, it is totally normal for the Creative painted nose to not match the factory painted body very well.

Were the nose cones installed before painting ? I just can't figure out how things like a vacuum modulator behind the carb got overspray on them .
I guess since the Daytonas used '70 fenders and hood they were installed at Creative Industries as well which could explain all the overspray.

So there were 500 front Charger clips floating around Detroit in mid 1969...lol

I think I read somewhere that the Daytonas were sent to Creative for installation of noses & wings, and for the Superbirds Creative sent the parts to Plymouth for assembly. Does that ring a bell with anyone else?
