Factory stripe error ? Duster 340

Hi guys ! I just bought a 70 duster 340 4 speed fj5 : i met the original owner today and he said that the car was from factory with the 71 stripe style..build in march 1970..can it be possible that it came like that , both black stripes code on fender tag..but im curious..he said that the car came from new york and was built in windsor ontario.

If it is a '70 model - 1970 style stripes.

Unless that's factory paint with 45+ year old stripes and you have documentation, the only correct stripe is the one for your model year, as documented on your fendertag.
