am working on my 68 cuda convert. Have moved to the top and need to remove it. The fasteners that hold the fabric to the sheet metal around the trunk section are something I have never seen before. Anybody know what these are and what kind of tool I beed to r&r them?

I cant picture what fastener you're on. The fabric should be stapled to a tack strip that is bolted to the body. There is a odd fastener under that trim. The screw through the snaps go into those. Can you post a pic of ?

OK I got it. The fasteners I was looking at were the snaps. I needed better light. Who the heck came up with the idea of stapling metal? Looks like when I get that far I will be looking to a trip to the Auto Top Shop.
Now to figure out how the rest of the top is fastened.
