Primed the oil pump and it hit 75 psi off the drill motor. Getting ready to run the motor, ignition is almost jibbed up, going to take the carb off my Duster just to make a test run. I still have to clean up the headers and get them on too!

The little things that don't show seems to take a lot of work.
Good job and am sure is done right.
Cab will be on soon I bet.
 
Thats another thing Hayden and I did just before we came in for supper. We were drilling spot welds to remove a rocker panel. We are replacing both of them and then the cab will go on!

LOL.. did the same exact thing to my son's truck... Frame spreader.. board and jack..

Just getting all the stuff under the cab done so I can reinstall it next weekend. Then the kids can get sanding door jambs etc while I get wiring and plumbing.

Honestly this was the best day I ever had fooling around with cars! It's finally spring here! My son and I had a great day getting the cab on his truck. We had to drag it around the muddy back lane to get it to the concrete at the front of the house. It went so well and the smiles on his face when he was driving his truck are priceless! I have a video I'll upload in a little bit!

Great job, and a good idea on the cab lift! So, do you have a back garage on the house with the dirt road between houses? Seems like a pretty cool setup.
 
I have a garage off the back yard with a gravel back lane. It's super soft in the spring. The truck was sinking in at least 6 inches. My attached garage is bigger and has a concrete pad out front. That's where we installed the cab.

You just never know what you are capable of till you just do it! I need welding gas to finish it off but it's fit in there for now!

I got the door hinge bushings replaced so I can hang the doors to finish off the rocker panels. Been working on my Duster instead of the truck for yhe last bit. Got wheels and tires mounted up today! 35x12.5-18 should be good!

So this quick 3ast rocker oanel replacement is kicking my ***! I just made up this patch piece. I'll get the whole thing welded in tomorrow then I'm off to the other side. Lucky I am smart enough not to replace the whole damn thing this time! I still need to clean up the inner and outer radius so it looks factory but it will be mint when done!

I'm watching closely, I'm in for some serious crap when I get into doing my cab...
 
Looking really good. Looking forward to following along with the progress. A truck is on my to do list after the Dart is finished.
 
Outstanding , I bought my 70 Dart thinking my son would be bitten by the bug, but he was more interested in video games and girls. He’s 25 now an is now interested in it as I told him that it is his car. Better late than never !!
 
You might be new to metal work, but you sue wouldn't know it. Looks great!
 
Well I was at the box of the truck most of the day! Getting the welder set right was the key to success! I got my covid shot today and I feel like **** so I am staying in for the rest of the evening.

Comin along good Cley! Sorry you're feelin bad. Kitty and I have talked it through and we've pretty much decided not to get the shot. We've not gotten it yet and we've barely changed our schedule. We're both on fair doses of vitamin D and baby aspirin everyday and word on the street is that helps ward it off. We've just seen and heard too many bad things.
 
I was not going to get it either, but my wife feels strongly that it is the right thing to do. She asked me to reconsider and I did it for her. We have been getting along really good lately and I hope that keeps going!

Ah with that dang border being closed! If I get my way I'll someday do a big US tour wilt my Duster! Maybe come meet some FABO folks along the way!
