Hi All,

I was wanting to know if anyone has used these manuals and their opinions if they were worth it?

1967 1968 1969 Barracuda Valiant Electrical Body Assembly Manual Plymouth

1967 Dart Valiant Barracuda Chassis and Engine Assembly Manual Dodge Plymouth

I have the 64 Body Assembly Manual and the Chassis Assembly Manual

Chassis manual is fantastic, saved me a few times

Body manual is much harder to follow in general but the reproduction quality of the print is not good. Kinda tough to read.

May just have been luck of the draw on the one I received

I have both. (67)

The photos posted in post 3 are very representative.

My complaints...

  1. The anti-copy "FAXON" logo is too dark and sometimes makes seeing details difficult
  2. The books are not body specific, meaning you have to wade through several car lines to find the info for a Dart which sometimes is on a page by itself and sometimes on a page with Barracuda and Valient.
I have not used them yet for assembly but they look to have many hidden gems of info.

I did a sort of review and said nearly the same thing. The watermarks are ridiculous. Of course I now no longer HAVE that book, LOL, along with any of the Ram/ Dakota books (paper) or the huge stack of GMC manuals that I paid nearly 400 bucks for

I bought original 1969 Dodge shop manuals and the 1969 parts manual from Faxon. I have had no problem using them.

I bought the 1971 Plymouth Manuals and the 1974 Dodge manuals on CDs from Faxon. The PDF format of the images on these copies are sometimes difficult to see because of the darkness of the scanned image. Overall, the written texts are useful. My CD versions were purchased before Faxon began using the Faxon watermark on all scanned images.

I recommend obtaining original shop manuals when possible.
