Very light/small for listed spring rates. Too bad the "correct" retainers don't fit. Their spring seats fit head, without cutting. ateam:stop:

What do you mean by "correct" retainers? Supplied retainers or stock retainers? Also do you have their spring rates?

Retainers#E10031, Springs # S2009, their id. is approx. .010" smaller than retainer register dia. The caption reads "These parts are for professional installation", Grinding ? Their exh. valves are three groove and supplied locks are #K10058, 8mm LS Corvette with single groove ! Why pita.- Hemi ?:violent1:

I had this same issue with some manley springs and custom retainers.

I had them turned down on a lathe, no problem.
Take them to a machine shop, should take them a whole 20 minutes to do if they have the correct degree/taper shaft to match the retainers-7*,8*,10*

I found a guy with a 'real race shop' who'd been down the road of 'making it work' many times.

call engle cams in long beach and ask for marks number, he can do it no problem.
