What have you guys done for hood hinges. I've got pictures of a car that a guy had built for someone else. I've posted a bunch of times to see who built that car on this site and other sites and can't seem to find the person or the owner of the car. I need to get something done with mine for ease of working on it, and not deal with a broom handle.

This is the car

I've reposted some more pictures. I've got some snap on struts that are bad that I just hung likes what in the pictures. I'm thinking of doing mine instead of going straight down like in the pictures and going a little forward under the fender but tied to the fender if that makes since. I'm not wanting to take my fender back off.

If you've got the Hood attached and hinges in place, It should be a very doable project to install some Hood Struts. I would use a pair of Good European Struts like for a VW Jetta which uses only one strut and will last at least 12 years. Whatever car you have access to will work best as you can take measurements. That way you can design it to have the proper range of motion.
