Filing lead

So I have figured out that filing lead is pretty close to sanding. Here is a rough guide for estimating time
You think it’s close.... roughly three days
Oh yeah, no, that’s much closer now..... at least another day
I about got it now.... get out the straight edge, the fun is just now starting

I usually take my lead work a little further down than flush, so when it gets a skim coat of filler I don't end up sanding the lead. Aerosolized fine lead particles are NOT a good thing.
