Well it finally happened. For years my brothers neighbor had a old Demon sitting out in the back field. My brother and I always want to know about it and find out more about it. We could tell it was definately a '71 Demon. However, not sure what it was trimmed out as. The car half sunk in the dirt with goats and dogs using it as a play toy. Several cash offers were dropped to the neighbor, but alas.....he was going to fix it up "someday". Well...... apparently some financial woes (and some other things) got the best of the neighbor. The Demon is now sitting in my brothers garage. The cars faded paint is definately Hemi orange. The faded out black decal on the hood and down the body line indicate... something. Interior has been taken out somewhere in the past, the steering wheel missing. The motor dissassembled. The 8 3/4 rear... intact ! Eagerly run the vin and find..... 1971 Dodge Demon.... with the 'A59' code. Yep.... its a SIZZLER !. The car originally equipped with a 318 motor / 904 trans and 8 3/4 rearend. There still some things that the vin didnt decode. Says came with a bech seat. However the car is/was clearly a console automatic with bucket seats. I dont know if they were installed later by a former owner ??? Further investigation into the car will tell. Anyways.... this whole thing is pointless without pics...... and I dont have any yet. I will tonight though and I will open a new thread in the Mopar general discussions and post the pics there. I just couldnt wait to spill the beans here though....Today (Monday) will be a looooong day before I can go and tear into the thing and see whats really there. Oh..... the deal... also included a 1970 340 engine as a "spare"

woooo hooooo ! Folks... were saving anothoer one !

Sounds like an awesome find. Congrats. This time around hope it doesn't take 15+/- years to finish like the dart. LOL. It'll look awesome when you're done with her.

Thanks guys. Well truth be known it isnt mine. It is officially my brothers car.... for the time being. (I havent bartered with him yet) However, while not revealing the actual purchase price.... I will say...he more or less... leagally "Stole" it. There will be some title issues, but shouldnt be too bad as all the documentation (I am told) is in place.

There will be pics up tonight !

post up the fender tag or shoot me a pm with the fender tag stuff.

Shouldn't be too hard to decode.

Hope the bottom isn't too rusty.

Interior codes are:
E2 & M1 = Bench
M6 = buckets Should also have C55 on tag, along with C16 for Console.

Well Well :-D I think I remember you saying something about this car last year in a thread where people are just going to let them rot and go back to the earth or something :read2:
Congrat's RPM :cheers::cheers:another great car saved 8)
