after a long 10 months I finally got my 64 vert back! Now to start putting it all back together and trying to figure out how much more I have to spend for all the little things that are always missing that add up! Now I have something to do when I get home from work for awhile!

I saw it on Facebook. I think it looks great. That red interior is going to scream against the black paint!

I hope so! I will have to decide when the time comes weather to do a black canvas CV top, or white vinyl.

I think I will start with the new wiring harness, sound deadening on the floors and firewall, then do the heaterbox and dash, then carpet and seats, get the interior all finished then drop the engine and trans in. I want to put the exterior molding all on, but will probably wait until it is cut and buffed next month. With any luck I may be able to get it done for the Fall Fling in So. Cal.

Looks great. Black is very very hard to get straight. But it looks like they nailed it. I would say for the 10 months, it was well worth the wait.

Nice, now don't scratch it! That's always been my biggest concerns after paint. Get humpin you got lots to do! 65'

Makes me wonder what a bright red top would look like.

I think it looks like crap:poke:you should bring that that to my house and I’ll take it off your hands. I’m not too picky. That looks good like you can stick your finger in it.

Need to get more Fatmat to finish the floors, and waiting the get the new dash mounting bolt set and firewall insulation kit i ordered from classic to get the dash, heater core and wiring installed then work my way back. Will do engine and trans last.

It's beautiful, I hope my 63 turns out that great. It's the same black with red interior. You gave me encouragement to work harder on mine. Thanks!

Little more progress, received a few needed parts yesterday, finished wiring everything up, had to fix the wiper motor, but everything finally tested out good, so installed the steering column, gas pedal and drivers seat.

And windshield is in, was able to do it by myself, hot garage probably helped with keeping the rubber soft!

Work the chrome insert by hand, just giving a twist up and down to catch the upper and lower lip, went about 1 inch at a time, but it worked.
