It's does look like a 273, and that is the look I went for. I think they are a nice looking engine.
But under the valve covers is a .030 over 68 340 with a 360 crank. Keith Black pistons and a Hughes cam. Opened up magnum heads and toped with a Mopar dual plane intake.
It has a 904 trans with some mild mods and a low gear set. Also has a 2800 stall converter.

Nice Bob, that last post of yours was # 273. (Creepy Twilight Zone music) Congrats, I know that`s been a long time coming. Speaking of 273`s though, do you remember what pistons are in the shortblock I got from you and did the rotating assembly get balanced? The reason I`m asking is I`m chasing a strange rhythmic vibration in my vert and I can`t seem to narrow it down. It`s somewhere in the engine or transmission. I`ve tried changing the dampener to no avail and can`t find anything in the trans yet??? Any input would be appreciated.-John
