The time has come to start looking for my first project, and I think I may have found it. It's a '69 Dart ...been stored in a garage for 25 years and needs rear quarters and a floor for sure but other than that I think everything else is there and workable. I'm no expert though, and as the car is 12 hours from me it's not practical to go for a drive and have a look at it.

The guy selling it has a website with 8 pages of photos of the car, and he's willing to take more for me if I want to see something specific. If someone is willing to have a quick look at the photos for me I can send you the link or even post it up here if that's allowed.

The car is in the Ottawa area (Gatineau actually) maybe someone knows of the car already?? Here's the link http://jopar.ca/

Thanks,
Dean

Hey Dean it sounds like a cool project, but if you post the link on your thread you will get a lot more people offering their opinions and ideas to you more quickly.

Forgive me I'm trying to figure out how to post a reply!!

You know of this car already?? That's VERY nice of you to offer to go look at it in person for someone who just joined this board last night!

I can't phone right now as I'm supposed to be packing away christmas decorations and my wife doesn't know I'm on here trying to buy a car ..I'll email you though ...THANKS!!

I wouldn't touch that for $4000. Especially with the frame rail rotted out and rust peeking through on the rocker panels. Just buy one of herschel and get it shipped. He has a '72 Dart with a 318 thats a bargain at $800 and a really nice '71 Dart that is pretty rust free for $1800, so at most shipped, your paying $2800 for a car in way better shape. Just my 2cents. I wouldn't touch something that has a fist sized frame hole for that much

To much money to fix that car. Buy a new challenger with warranty for same money after your done with rust and body work. JMO

hold out for sure.

you spend a few days of looking around here on fabo and you can either find a good project for WAY cheaper OR you can find a basically done car for about the same price that guy wants......and you would be saving ALOT in the long run.

you can get a running and driving mopar with a good body that might need paint work or interior work for around $4,000.00

put up a wanted ad here on fabo and do some searching around and you WILL find a better deal!

Welcome to FABO from the Toronto area:-D.You should take a look in the Cars for sale forum for a car of your choice. There,s many good deals right now, just you,ll have to either go get one or have it shipped.Oh and you,ll get a car with little rust, running, driving and less work for $4000.Good luck in your search.8)

well thanks for all the replies guys, I'm a little disappointed that you all say to pass on this one ...I was hoping the opposite would happen but this is why I decided to join this group in the first place.

let me re-phrase the question, for my own education ...what do you all think that car is worth?
