flex plate shield

I have a approved shield on my 727 tranny but no flex plate shield. The track tech guy (the same one that was wrong on everythink else) says just a flex plate shield won't fly.I think he said he wanted something between the flex shield & the tranny shield. I was so happy the NHRA tech guy thd only 1 area of concern on my cage, I forgot to ask about the shield.Can anyone tell what else I need? thanks

He probably means a transmission shield. That covers the bell housing and case.
