Flush a power steering pump with what ?

I have cleaned up my power steering pump and will paint it soon...but what do you clean up the inside with ?

Do you flush it with something or just add new fluid ?

Absent some sort of cleaner, flushing it with unused power steering fluid is a safe bet.
