STATEMENT REGARDING AUTO CLUB DRAGWAY

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (July 31, 2012) – “The Auto Club Speedway has reached a settlement with a local group of concerned citizens in the San Bernardino County area known as CCoMPRESS, represented by Chatten-Brown & Carstens related to the operation of the Auto Club Dragway. As a result, the Auto Club Speedway may resume operations at the Auto Club Dragway if it first complies with a series of requirements intended to mitigate the environmental impacts to the surrounding community, including construction of a soundwall.”

Thanks,on the update.Wonder if the concerned citizens group, presented the same proposal for the train tracks ,as well

This is at least good news. Hopefully PSCA stuff can go back there next year then.

Well they do need a sound wall. Otherwise the concerned citizens can't hear the passing trains, the noise from the freeway, and the sounds of the jets flying overhead on their approach to LAX!

Hahahahahahahaha.... How true !!!!!!!!!!

So, they shut down all the racetracks in the LA/Orange County area where I grew up. Then they complained about street racing and the number of accidents and deaths that resulted from that activity. This is the result of not thinking through the consequences of you actions.
Enviro's do it all the time. Kill coal! Build windmills and solar panel power plants. But ooops, now we have bird kills far in excess of anything that happened with coal fired plants, intermittant power, grid failures, and more expensive power. All because someone doesn't understand the consequences of their actions.

Welcome to government regulation, and real estate pricing.
