I found a distributor in the trunk of the Dart.It has the number below on it??

2642238 31 6

Can anyone tell me what its from or what year or anything really??
Ill get a piccy up of it tmw for your perusal.

This is a single point distributor for a 66-67 273 2 bbl automatic motor for a A&B body car.Your distributor was built in the 31 week of 1966,Mrmopartech

Best way to tell an LA small block distributor from a big block distributor:

With the shaft pointing down, vacuum can nipple pointing AT you, the vacuum can comes out on the left side of the distributor housing for small blocks, on the right side of the distributor housing for big blocks.

Later ('72-up) big block RB distributors have 2 grooves cut into the blade end of the distributor shaft, Low Decks have only 1 groove.
