Stock dual plane intake manifold from '78 440 RV engine
Stock 8 3/4 center chunk, peg leg, unknown gears (I can find out if you need to know)

Pick up in Sedro Woolley or pay shipping, I just want them to go to a good home.

Would like to know and would help with dispersing of parts,if you can post a pic[3rd member] and the case #[741-742-489] and what ratio of gears...and what state/zip code you are from would be helpful..thanks...and welcome to the site...
 
Yep. about an hour north of Everett. 98284. I will get the casting number and gear ratio, I will try to have it on here by this weekend. It's dirty, but looks and feels solid. No cracks or broken gear teeth that I could see, gears turn pretty smooth, could probably be pressure washed, air dried, dropped in, lubed and run just fine, but I have never used it and don't know what shape the pinion seal is in.

The intake is cast iron with quadrajet / thermoquad style flange, I have a spacer / adapter that will come with it for Edelbrock or Holley style flange. Worked fine when I pulled it from the engine.

I'm not trying to make money on over charging for shipping or anything, if someone local wants it they can pick it up for nothing.

oh yeah, I don't have the pics yet, but it's a 742 case slip (single track?) rear chunk I believe with 3.23 gears.

Peg leg. One tire fryer.
 
He was giving a compliment because you are being very generous with these parts. I am out on the chunk, I was hoping for a 489 case.

Cletus, yes you have found said forum! My attempt co combine wit and humor must have fallen short when I meant to give you a sincere compliment for offering up some free parts. Good job!:cheese:

That is really cool. Yeah, I took it the wrong way because I'm used to people around me being sarcastic dicks, this may take some getting used to.
 
Rearend is gone, still have the intake.
