I have a 71 318 long block on a stand in my storage garage that I'm never going to use. It ran pretty good before it was pulled in favor of a BB. Come and get it on a weekend in the IL 60638 zip. There is no acc's or intake. It's from the heads down and water pump back.

I could use it too,but n.c. is a loooong way away.

Some of the 318 engines dated 71(Came in 72 cars/trucks) had big full floating rods, same as 340s.
How would I if my 318 has this? Ive been on fence about keeping the original motor and trans with the car in favor of a 360 swap.

It is still available. The trans was in a running driving car before I got it but the car was taken apart and no converter. I think it came from a truck

It came out of a 71 Dart a guy was putting a big block in. I got to see it run before he pulled it. I bought it for the acc's and it's not all crusty inside.

As you can see from the pics the pan has a new gasket and has a newer front seal and is painted black so maybe it was gone through at some point.

May have to pull a piston out...not sure if you can see the clips, but if its dated 71 and has the big rods its gonna be the floating rods.

My son should be back with my truck this weekend. Let me know when we can get together.
Score... K.K. can do with a 318 ,while most Mopar's newbie, feel a good Mopar 360 core ,looks like a pinapple,in the wrong orifice...
