Friggin pinion nut not breaking loose....

Finally got around to pulling the chunk so I could work on it on the bench. Cleaned it up, put yoke in the vise and hit it with the impact. Off in 30 seconds!

I'll be picking your brains again when I start building it with the new suregrip and 4.30 s.

While you have the chunck out drill and tap a drain plug in the bottom of the housing.

This would make this easier. You have a photo of one you’ve done?

I have done several
Looking from the rear of the car
- Slightly right of center mark and drill a hole for a 1/4 NPT flush plug
- Tap the hole and clean up any metal chips
- Apply some pipe dope to the plug and install
Job over it's about as simple as it gets and it saves a big mess when you want to change out the grease.
