Front drum ??????

I'm starting to get my 64 ready for the new cragars , 6" front
7" rear. One of the front drums has a spring around it, can that be removed
Also had to remove what looked like weight so the wheel would sit flat.

Mine 65 has those springs. I assume they are for cooling. I also have Cragars, though not installed yet. You will see the drums thru the Cragar spokes, so you might want to pretty them up. I removed them, wire-brushed, sprayed with w/ yellow Caliper Paint to match my body.

I think those weights are on for a reason. Since you removed it, you may want your tire spin-balanced on the car and mark to put it back the same stud in the future. But drive it first and see if the wheel hops.

10-4 on the painted drums the back are done in black, A lot of cleaning in thenext few days, then to les swab
