front grill trim needed, '65 Dart

Hello, all. I'm not even sure I have described what I need correctly, but I'm hoping to locate the lower chrome trim strip which "outlines" the grill and headlight bezels on the front of my 1965 Dodge Dart. I'm periodically looking on eBay and haven't yet seen it... grilles and bezels, yes, but this piece of trim, no. I'm quite new at this stuff, having decided to (modestly) restore my late father's beloved Dart, and that piece in particular is banged to hell. Any suggestions on where I might locate this piece? Thank you!

I think the pieces you're describing are called "candy canes" by the 65 Dart crowd. I have seen them on here for sale and also on E-bay. Laysons has them available as repros. tmm Here's a link to an old post from Rick @ Laysons

Yep, that is them. I didn't think they would be that pricey (or hard to find). Eek! I'll have to think about that one.

Are you looking for the left, right or both sides?

Driver's side is most banged up, so ideally I'd like to find a used replacement, rather than spring for a new-repro and have it be so much cleaner. (Or replace both, my least desirable option.)
