Front torque boxes for Convertibles? Will they fit '73?

I figured there were originally front torque boxes on Convertibles, because that's pretty standard for different Unibody cars (Ford Mustangs, for example). I just read on here somewhere that the Mopars did, in fact, have them.

Are they available in reproduction, and if so, will they fit (without a ton of modification) on later A-bodies? ('73 Duster, specifically, with the intention being to stiffen up the whole platform)

Nevermind... I did a little checking, and US Car Tool has them, as does another place (Sheetmetal Source I think?)

Adding them to the ever-growing list of stuff to get!

Hey Brad,
The front ones can be replaced by a simple plate welded to the frame members. I just put a set on the Missile the cost of the 14Ga metal for front and rears was $15.
Ill post pics later today but just something to think about before you spend your money.

I agree with Blue. The UScartools are a lot of money. Unless the car needs to be a 100 point resto I would just weld in some sheet metal. It will cost a lot less.
