I was out looking at fixing the fuel gauge today and was trying to chase some wires. I will try grounding the wire to the sender and see what happends, but as I was using my test light I put it on the back lock nut to the fuel gauge and the test light was blinking. I moved the test light around on the printed panel and found it doing it all over. What causes this? I powewer is present wouldn't it be constant?
Well back at it.
Thanks

Well after going over everything I read on another site that the limiter could not be making connection. I got under the dash and pushed and jiggled it but still nothing. I figured while I there I will tighten the nuts holding the gauge to the circuit panel....guess what ..it works now. Something to keep in mind before testing wires and such.

Thanks for the info. Im also in the process of having mine repaired. My mechanic found a soldered wire on the back of the pannel had come off . also he found no juice able to run through the voltage reducer. He is getting another one . He is very good with these things and has already fixed a bunch of inoperable lights and blinker on my car.Ill keep it in mind about making sure the gauge nut is secure.sure would be nice to have a working gas and temp gauge.
