My suspicions confirmed. The 426 Hemi and slant 6 fuel pumps are interchangeable. Those of you looking for an upgrade, here you go.

I am not sure, as I run electric pumps. But I think the big block (Hemi included) pumps, themselves, are the same, but the arm is slightly different, and needs to be swaped out. I tried to find the "for sure" info, but do not have time to locate it, right now. Just be aware of this possibility, and don't just install the Hemi pump without checking this.

a slant six stocker pump is about 25 bucks or so from autozone etc so it would be easy enough to check. They "look" the same.

Well after clarifying with the guy the slant and hemi 6 pumps are interchangeable. Don't know about any others. :(

You MUST change the arm as Charlie suggested.

So you can run a hemi fuel pump with a slant six arm?

Also, it is interesting when I actually looked at mine that the slant six pump mounts upside down.

Also, not all aftermarket big block fuel pumps make it easy to swap arms...

I only just saw this post and I should mention something.

The OP asked "Are the slant 6 mechanical fuel pumps interchangeable with a Hemi fuel pump?"

But you've got to remember who you are asking, Hemi Performance is an Australian Website and yes Hemi SIX and Slant Six fuel pumps are interchangable.

At no point did the guy say big block Hemi fuel pumps would work.

And this is a question I'd like to know myself.
