fuel pump to carb line ?

Hey guys I hope you can answer a question . I have a 69 340 in my Dart w/ a thermoquad carb . I bought a 2 piece fuel line from YearOne & it doesn't fit very well. I think I have the wrong fuel pump on my 340. Does the outlet tube port ( to carb) supposed to be pointing completly sideways ? Mine points at 22 degrees towards the front RH corner of the car . I think and I hope this is the problem. Thanx for your help ! Charlie

I found out I can "clock" my fuel pump, I should've known this . I just hope I don't screw up the diaphragm !

Also, the factory '69 didnt use the T quad...The AVS is a shorter (front to back) carb than the Tquad...Prob why the line had to be tweaked to get it to work..If it's afactory based line setup.
