Fuel Pump

What fuel pump (mechanical) do you guys recommend?

Mine is all gummed up and i'm just going to get new. I've already bought a new tank, sending unit, fuel line and straps, bolts, grommet etc. Might as well get a new pump.

Also, I'm not sure here but it looks like a hemi and a slant 6 pump are interchangeable?

I use the USA made pump sold by Auto Zone. They are made up in Ohio Ive been to the plant a few years ago. Cost is about $25 retail and has a 1 year warranty. No need for anything better unless you are really building your slant up for race only.

The carter 60577 is for a 225 as well and is 33.99 on summit

Still by looking at the pictures it appears a hemi pump and a slant six pump are interchangeable.

Correct. I do not want to run a regulator.

Was also thinking stock pump in front and Holley red electric in rear. I have one of those sitting around.

Unless you are talking about the "Hemi" six, then I have no idea. That site you listed in the other thread is an Austrailian site/company, and they might be refering to the "Hemi" six, which was made there.

Here is my dilemma. I have 1/2 inch fuel line from front to back so I need a mechanical pump with a female inlet.

You can put a conversion/adaptor fitting on the line, no problems. I have 1/2 " on a few cars.

I picked up an adapter. 1/2" nipple to 5/16th. It will have to do for now.
