any buddy here good with garage door openers, have chamberlain 3/4 unit will open fine but now will not close from the remote { wife very unhappy !!}, I have made sure there is nothing blocking the sensors have readjusted the downward force adjustment, no help, I must use the wall push button to close it, even when you use it the door moves very little stops goes back up lites flash on and off a few times then you push the button and must hold it till the door is all the way closed , any ideas what to try next ? production date show 6/11 !! thanks for any help !!

Sensor transmitter or receiver gone bad, or somehow got bumped so they are not pointing at each other anymore.
Or wiring to them is disconnected or broken.

does it open with the remote?
does it start to close but act like it is sensing something is blocking it and flash the lights when you try to close it with the remote?

(trying to figure if you have one or two problems here)

sure sounds like the "eyes" are not lined up or have got issues, like Thomas said

I've never had a door opener with sensors, but deal with such sensors all the time at work.
I've only ever had old, old openers where the door was directly onto the alley out back, where no kids would be ever be darting about anyway.
Saves a lot of snow shoveling for sure, and I can't imagine an attached garage in front, where this might be desirable.
Mine will reverse if blocked, but I never got the remote to work in 23 years here, just never seemed important enough.

As asked previously, does it open using the remote? No? Change battery?
I think I'd check the wiring from sensors to the unit if you are sure they are lined up correctly. Maybe one got pulled or possibly a loose connection. Also make sure the sensors aren't moving on you when your opener starts.
Lots of youtube videos out there. You might search them a bit for similar issues.
