will be going from a /6 to 392 hemi, 66 Dart. Not much room for anything! The current gas linkage rotates instead of push-pull. Is there a stock cable/pedal assembly I can look for or should I try to find an aftermarket setup?

If your not doing any kickdown to a tranny there are several to choose from...Lokar makes a decent throttle cable but do not, I repeat do not use their kickdown cable....you can also go to mancini racing and look at their several different throttle cable setups they have and pick one that will work with you intake manifold..

For a stock cable pedal assembly the interchange is 64 to 66 V8 and 65/66 slant 6 with factory air. Once you drill the factory dimples the pedal assembly bolts right in. If you can't readily locate the factory pedal, you can use later model hanging pedals - but it's not a bolt-in. Got any pictures of the Hemi residing in the engine compartment?

Motor's not in yet, maybe in september. Never hurts to think ahead. Here's a pic. One day I got discouraged with stuff going slow so I bolted the heads etc on just for inspiration. You can see my shop is state of the art, lol. Currently the crank is in, working on reciprocating assembly next.

There will be no mechanical water pump, have yet to decide on what brand of remote electric pump to go with. I like that finned cover stickin out, plus its just a tight squeeze all around. The stock pump is butt ugly. They have a BBC water pump conversion but that's not my cup of tea.

And yes, it'll be a 727, I should have mentioned that. Don't have that yet so need to decide auto/manual shift for that, which might depend on the linkage?

What's wrong with the Lokar kickdown?

Nice looking timing chain cover and valve covers. My 58 392 is basically stock with a couple of upgrades - cam (1 step up from stock), oil pressure relief valve, oil filter adapter, 318 fuel pump adapter and the valve covers - black wrinkle finish and added stovepipes for the oil filler cap and a PCV valve a la early Commando valve covers.

When you say oil pressure relief valve, do you mean the relief spring? I've heard heavier springs are no longer available so I was thinking I'd do old skool and just stretch the spring, but by how much I dunno. If you have a source that'd be cool to know.

what are stovepipes?

It's chevy ****....Rick Allison with A&A transmissions told me not to do it....it didn't control the shift pressure correctly...it ate third gear in my first tranny...and then it tried to do it again in the tranny he built me....I took that **** off and then it shifted fine...take a look at Bouchalon Preformance they have a Mopar kickdown and a cable bracket....I switched to a reverse manual shift valve body

Not sure if I had the right nomenclature - it's the spring/valve under the rear main bearing cap. Got it as well as most all my 392 stuff from Hot Heads. Dang! I need to find a project for that sucker!
