gas tank issue

i have a 69 dart with leaf springs move inboard -gas tank on pass side touching the leaf spring and driver has about 3 inches clearance from spring and the tank was purchased from yearone can this be right thanks

Not a Dart but my '67 'Cuda has "tank shift" also.
You can see in the pic that it is closer to the pass. side exhaust

Springs are in the stock location.

I'm guessing all A bodies may be like this.

They are off centered, you might be able to loosen the straps and move it enough to get it away from the spring.
