Gas tank Vent Tube

What is the fill tube in the trunks of Dusters next to the
gas fill tube? Is it just air vent tube or did Chrysler think
about making 70 Dusters with the gas fill tube on top
of the trunk pillar like a 68-70 Dodge Charger. :scratch: 8)

It's just an air vent for the gas tank.
My 71 has it,it has 4 lines coming from the tank to the vent tube.
The bad part the factory put a guard under(bad idea) and it filled up with mud,water etc. and rotted the bottom of the outer wheelhouse off!
